India offers film and television courses

India has offered one-year post-graduate study on film and television for interested Bangladeshis.

Its High Commission in Dhaka will receive applications from eligible candidates between Apr 20 and Apr 24 for the study at India’s premier Film and Television Institute in Pune.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations in New Delhi will sponsor the courses –screenplay writing and television – details of which are available at the high commission’s website: www.hcidhaka.gov.in.

Direction, electronic cinematography, video editing, and sound recording and television engineering are the specialisation courses offered under the television category.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline for all courses will be required. But for the ‘sound recording and television engineering’ an interested candidate must have physics as a subject at higher secondary level.

Original certificates or documents have to be presented for verification with the application that has to be submitted in person.
