Former Agriculture Minister of the BNP-led alliance government, Nizami inaugurated the ministry’s office building in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila on Sept 6, 2002.

Supporters of the Liberation War, led by Jamalpur Ganajagaran Mancha Joint Convener Syed Tanveer Ahmed, broke that inauguration plaque on Sunday afternoon.

Agitated activists then demanded the removal of war criminals’ names inscribed on government establishments all over the country.
