HC wants Savar missing list

The High Court on Monday sought a list of all those missing in the Rana Plaza collapse, that claimed lives of at least 1,127 lives so far .

A two-judge bench of Judges Mirza Hussain Haider and Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker directed Dhaka District Administrator and chief factory Inspector to Ministry of Labour and Employment to come up with a comprehensive report within a week.

The court has asked to draw up the list with ID cards, appointment letters or other proofs of the missing workers.

Simultaneously, the court had also summoned all files and papers regarding the nine-storied Rana Plaza from the suspended Savar Mayor and the current Acting Mayor within a week.

The High Court had also summoned the four probe reports of Home Ministry, police, Fire Service and Civil Defence and Labour Ministry on the fire at Tazreen Fashions Limited within two weeks.

The Rana Plaza case comes up for hearing in the court on May 21; that of Tazreen on May 29.

Tazreen owner Delwar Hossain had been summoned to court on Monday.
