A murder case was filed on Sunday against three including Sohel Rana, owner of the Rana Plaza which collapsed on Apr 24.

Apart from builder Sohel Rana, the two others charged with murder were Savar municipality’s Chief Engineer and New Wave Style Garments’ Managing Director Bazlus Samad Adnan.
The case was filed under articles 302, 34 and 506 of the Penal Code, the Additional Public Prosecutor said.
Alam worked in the New Wave Style Garments factory that was located in the ill-fated Rana Plaza.
The court’s Additional Public Prosecutor Anwarul Kabir Babul told bdnews24.com that the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate sent the case to the bench of a Senior Magistrate.
Senior Magistrate Hakim Wasim heard Sheuli Akhter in the morning and a rule was likely to be issued.
The death toll in the Rana Plaza collapse has now risen to 572, until Sunday morning -- a disaster worse than any of its kind except the New York Twin Tower collapse in 2001, according to the BBC.
