Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker announced the programme at Shahbagh’s Prajanma Chattar in the afternoon.

He said: “We were on the street to resist Jamaat and Shibir in the past and will be there too tomorrow.”

Shibir called the strike following arrest and remand in custody of its President.

Ganajagaran Mancha is pressing on with a movement demanding maximum punishment to the convicted war criminals and a ban on Jamaat and Shibir.

Imran said: “Ganajagaran Mancha would take out black flag procession as part of its efforts to prevent strikes and resist Jamaat an Shibir.”

He said the procession, to be taken out at 11 am at Shahbagh, will march towards Moghbazar, a Jamaat-dominated area where the party is headquartered, through Bangla Motor and then return to Shahbagh.

Imran urged all the pro-liberation people to join the procession, which will be followed by a cultural function at Shahbagh.
