Rajshahi Railway Station Master Anisur Rahman filed the case against miscreants on Saturday night, said GRP Police Station Officer in-Charge Alamgir Hossain. But the miscreants were not named.

Miscreants set fire to three coaches of Dhaka-bound Dhumketu Express in Rajshahi late Saturday night.

The case statement said Tk 30 million was incurred in losses by the fire, said the OC.
Some 25 youths posing as passengers of the Dhaka bound train set fire to the coaches around 10:00pm Saturday night.
‘Silk City’ leaves Rajshahi for Dhaka and the same train changes engines and name to ‘Dhumketu Express’ while returning to Rajshahi.
After the fire, the three coaches were delinked and the train resumed its journey to Dhaka after an hour's delay.
Boalia Model Police Station OC Ziaul Haque Zia told bdnews24.com that Jamaat-Shibir activists were suspected to be responsible for the incident.
However Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner SM Monir-uz-Zaman did not confirm identity of the perpetrators. “This is the doing of those who are perpetrating sabotage through Bangladesh.”
