10 die of bone-chilling cold

Dhaka, Jan 15 (BDNEWS) – Peoples' life across the country has become miserable due to the bone-chilling cold wave.
At least 10 people, including four children, died of cold and cold-related diseases in the country in last 24 hours.
BDNEWS Thakurgaon correspondent reports: four more people, including two children, died in the cold wave. The deceased are- three-month old Moon, son of Shahjahan of Kaharpara village under Thakurgaon sadar Upazila, two-month old Ruchi, daughter of Rabiul of Prodhanpara village of the same Upazila and Abdul Bari (50) Tara Banu (80) of Tepua village under Ranishankail Upazila.
A total of 22 people have died in the cold and cold-related diseases in the district so far.
BDNEWS Dinajpur correspondent reports: after falling sick in the cold wave two children died of Pneumonia and eczema at Dinajpur Medical College Hospital. The dead are one moth old Zahid, son of Jahangir Alam of Tetulia village under Chirirbandar Upazila and newborn child Baby, daughter of Azizur Rahman of Ramnagar area of the town.
BDNEWS Jessore correspondent reports: three persons died of biting cold in different parts of the Khikargachha Upazila in the district.
The dead are Abdur Razzak (54), a peon of the Jhikargachha Mohila College, former assistant Prof of the Shahid Mashiur Rahman Degree College Sheikh Rabiul Haque (68) and Badsha Miah (70). They hail from Mohinikathi, Jhikargachha and Kirtipur and Lainpara areas under the Jhikargachha Pourashava.
Jessore Airport Met office sources said the lowest temperature in Jessore was recorded at 7.04 degree Celsius while it was 11 degree Celsius on Sunday afternoon.
BDNEWS Sherpur correspondent adds: One person died of stinging cold on Saturday night.
The victim was a teacher at the Jhagrarchar High School in Sribardi Upazila.
