Dhaka, April 23 (BDNEWS) – Indian Ministry of Home Affairs denied press reports of Bangladesh about additional deployment of BSF or Army on borders.
In a letter to the Indian High Commission here, the headquarters of the Addl DG (East), BSF about Thursday's firing incident in Baghalpur (Tripura), it said that the BSF was forced to open fire on 7 to 8 Bangladeshis, whom it said were trying to breach fence and attacked the BSF members with bricks and other sharp weapons.
The BSF eastern headquarters also denied press report of intruding into Bangladesh by BSF neither individually nor in a group.
