The marriage ceremony, however, will be held after the World Cup, his brother Mokhlesur Rahman Poltu told bdnews24.com on Thursday.
Only relatives will be present in Friday’s function at their home at Tentulia village in Satkhira’s Kaliganj, he said.
“A ceremony will be organised in the capital later for BCB players, officials, friends and well-wishers,” Mokhlesur added.
The date of the marriage ceremony will be fixed on Friday, according to Mokhlesur.
The Cricket World Cup 2019 will be held in England from May 30.
Mokhlesur said the bride, Samia Yasmin Shimu, is daughter of their maternal uncle Raonagul Islam Babu from Hadipur village at Debhata Upazila in same district.
She is completing her undergraduate degree with honours at Dhaka University.
