Abahani clinch BPL title

Abahani Limited were crowned the Bangladesh Premier League champion after they drew 2-2 with Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Dhaka, July 3 (bdnews24.com)—Abahani Limited were crowned the Bangladesh Premier League champion after they drew 2-2 with Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
This is the 4th professional league crown for Abahani Limited in the fifth version of the league.
Abahani Limited emerged champions in the league securing 45 points while Muktijoddha Sangsad finished a point behind to be runners-up for the second consecutive time.
Sunday Chizoba put Muktijoddha ahead in the 16th minute but Abahani forward Sakhawat Rony levelled in the 70th minute.
But, Chizoba again put Muktijoddha ahead in the 73rd minute.
Eventually, Zahid Hossain rescued Abahani with the equaliser in the 84th minute.
