Barisal, Dec 26 (bdnews24.com) - District Awami League general secretary Abul Hasanat Abdullah has offered apology for his mistakes during the Awami League rule.
Abdullah appeared at a rally at Sohel Square in the city Tuesday after long five years and said, "If anybody can prove my involvement with any terrorist activity or tender manipulation during the Awami League rule I will resign from politics for life."
Hasanat said before the submission of nomination of city AL convenor Advocate Shawkat Hossain Hiron, a mega-alliance candidate, for Barisal Sadar constituency.
He announced he would inform the people on Thursday about his not coming to Barisal during the five-year's rule of the four-party alliance.
Abdullah faced widespread criticism for the controversial activities of his son and brother-in law during the AL regime.
