BNP factional feud kills 2 in Comilla

A clash between two factions of BNP left two persons including a Shibir leader killed and 25 others injured Thursday in Nangalkot upazila of the district.

Comilla, Nov 2 (bdnews24.com) – A clash between two factions of BNP left two persons including a Shibir leader killed and 25 others injured Thursday in Nangalkot upazila of the district.
Police and eyewitnesses said a group of BNP activists belonging to former BNP MP Abdul Gafur Bhuiyan torched the house of the leader of their rival faction Dr Kamruzzaman, triggering the bloody clash.
They also ransacked local BNP office.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Shahjahan (25), student of Comilla Victoria Govt College and also a local leader of the Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS). Identity of the other could not be known immediately.
Both groups damaged houses and businesses of rivals during the three and half hours-long clash.
The injured were undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics.
