Dhaka, May 22 (BDNEWS) – Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, a component of Islami Oikyo Jote (IOJ- Shaikhul Hadith), Sunday faced another split as the pro-Moududi group deserted it to form a separate committee.
IOJ (SH), a component of the 4-party alliance government, blamed another partner of the BNP led ruling alliance Jamaat–e-Islami for the split in the party.
Amir of Khelafat Majlish and IOJ chairman Shaikhul Hadith Allama Azizul Haque hoped that dissident leaders will come back soon.
"I do not want to abuse them as it is not allowed in Islam," he said adding, "They are our own people and I hope that they will be back very soon," he said while talking to newsmen at an informal briefing at the Purana Paltan office Sunday.
But, the secretary general of the Islamist conservative party blamed Jamaat-e-Islami for the separation.
A general diary was filed with the Motijheel police against Sheikh Golam Azgar, Muntasir Ali, Farid Ahmed Siddiqui and Yunus Khan for stealing valuables from the Islami Oikyo Jote office.
The last two of them were the office secretary and the assistant office secretary of the IOJ (SH) committee.
With the latest one, IOJ divided into four factions.
