BNP National Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas has flown to Bangkok for eye treatment.
He will receive treatment at the Rutnin Eye Hospital in Thailand's capital. His wife Afroza Abbas and son Mirza Yaseer Abbas are accompanying him.
The BNP leader left Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on board a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 11:15am on Tuesday, his private assistant Mizanur Rahman Sohel said.
‘‘Sir went to Bangkok for eye treatment. He got an appointment with the physician at the Rutnin Eye Hospital that is scheduled for today.”
‘‘Sir will undergo a surgery in two days.”
Sohel said that Mirza Abbas’s family solicited blessings from the leaders and activists of the party.
