Sajeeb Wazed Joy plays guitar as hobby, likes action movies, photography
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy says he has started playing the guitar again as a hobby after a break.

“I used to play the guitar in my school and college days. I started playing it again recently,” he said while talking about his hobby at an interaction with the youths on Sunday.
The prime minister’s only son said his hobby also includes photography, listening to music and watching action films. He also plays computer games.
Awami League's research wing, the Centre for Research and Information or CRI, organised the interaction under its ‘Let’s Talk’ programme in which it connects youths with 'politics and policymaking'.
The youths were mostly drawn from different public and private universities, and they asked questions on a whole range of issues from his personal life to Bangladesh’s development.
The students pressed him to play the guitar at the event. “I am not good at it,” he quipped.
Joy studied at St Joseph’s College, India where Hasina took asylum after 1975 when his grandfather, Bangladesh’s founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was killed.
He enrolled in Computer Science at the University of Bangalore, and then moved to The University of Texas at Arlington and received BSc degree in Computer Engineering.
Joy completed Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University.
He is credited with the development of ICT in Bangladesh with the slogan of ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
He said he loves to interact with the youths instead of making political speeches.
Joy encouraged youths to change their “mindset” and become entrepreneurs rather than traditional job-seekers.
On being asked, he said the Awami League government has established “good governance” in Bangladesh, and strengthened the Anti-Corruption Commission, citing instances of party MPs landing in jail.
“How can we build Padma Bridge with our funds if we had no good governance?”
He also said the Awami League does not fear criticism but “loves to respond to any criticism”.
