At least five children with measles or related symptoms have died across the country in the 24 hours until Thursday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the deceased, one child was a confirmed measles patient, while the other four exhibited symptoms of the highly contagious viral disease.
During this period, 125 new cases of measles were officially identified.
The DGHS's regular measles bulletin revealed that 39 people have died from confirmed measles cases since Mar 15.
The Dhaka Division has recorded the highest fatalities, with 25 deaths.
In addition to confirmed cases, 194 children have died with measles-like symptoms over the same period.
The data shows a significant surge in hospital visits.
In the latest reporting cycle ending at 9am on Thursday, 1,170 patients sought medical care with measles symptoms, and 847 of them were admitted to hospitals.
Dhaka reported the most hospitalisations with 355 patients.
Rangpur reported the fewest, with only seven patients admitted.
Since Mar 15, the total number of suspected measles cases has reached 28,334, of which 4,059 have been laboratory-confirmed.
In response to the outbreak, a nationwide vaccination campaign targeting 18 million children began on Apr 20.
As of Thursday, the campaign has reached 5,184,753 children across the eight divisions.
It has also reached 974,247 children within the 12 city corporations.
