More than 32,000 candidates have been recorded as absent on the fourth day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations held across Bangladesh.

Under the Madrasah Education Board, 13,144 students were absent from the Dakhil exam, while 3,064 students missed the vocational exams under the Technical Education Board.
The exams were conducted simultaneously at 3,875 centres nationwide from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
On the fourth day, students under the general boards sat for the English Second Paper.
Dakhil examinees appeared for the Arabic Second Paper, while students under the vocational boards took exams on Bangladesh and Global Studies and Arabic-II.
Data regarding the turnout was released by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee later in the day.
Despite tight exam management and extensive CCTV monitoring, 49 candidates were expelled for using unfair means.
Of them, 24 were SSC candidates under the general boards, 24 were Dakhil candidates under the Madrasah Education Board, and one was a vocational examinee under the Technical Education Board.
