Rishad Hossain has jumped up the ICC rankings after a brilliant show with the ball in the second

T20 against Sri Lanka, achieving a career-best spot in the bowlers’ list.

The ICC released its weekly ranking update on Wednesday, where Litton Kumer Das, Parvez Hossain, and Shoriful Islam all made significant gains.

In the second T20 in Dambulla, Rishad bagged three wickets for 18 runs, his best haul. The 23-year-old rose to 17th, jumping 12 places with 623 points, after taking 4 wickets across the first two games.

Shoriful claimed two scalps for 12 runs after returning to the playing eleven in the second game and surged 20 spots to 57th with 482 points.

Mustafizur Rahman held on to his 26th position, while Mahedi Hasan and Taskin Ahmed dropped four places,nto 25th and 29th respectively.

Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Thushara climbed nine places to 16th, while Wanindu Hasaranga slipped two spots to sixth.

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy remains the top-ranked bowler.

Litton, after scoring 76 runs off 50 balls, moved up seven places in the batting rankings. He’s now jointly 44th with Jonny Bairstow, with 541 points.

Parvez scored 38 runs off 22 balls in the first match and jumped 12 places to 85th. Towhid

Hridoy edged up by a spot to 41st, ahead of other Bangladeshi batters.

Tanzid Hasan, who scored 21 runs in two matches, slipped two places to 55th. Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis, after a match-winning 73, rose three spots to 15th.

Australia’s Travis Head tops the batting rankings, followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma. No changes occurred in the top three.

In the allrounders’ rankings, no Bangladeshi is in the top 30. Mehidy Hasan Miraz climbed 21

places to 41st, to sit beside Gulbadin Naib and Bas de Leede.

India’s Hardik Pandya leads the allrounders pack.
