Presentation on employability skills held at IUB

The Independent University, Bangladesh or IUB has organised a presentation on employability skills in the era of the fourth industrial revolution.

IPDC Finance Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam was the presenter at the event organised by the university’s Office of Career Guidance and Placement on its Bashundhara campus on Monday.

Mominul underscored that physical, biological and digital world are all coming together in the fourth industrial revolution, the university said in a media release.

He spoke about the forces, which will ultimately change the employability skills such as - machine learning, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, big data, internet of things, nano technology, block chain, neuroscience, and biotechnology in his presentation.

IUB Vice-Chancellor Prof M Omar Rahman, Rashed Chowdhury, former chairman of the Board of Trustees, IUB, its member Syed Mahmudul Huq, Md Abdullah Iqbal, Deputy Director, Career Guidance and Placement, IUB, also spoke.

The presentation was followed by a question-answer session which was joined by the trustees of the university, senior members of the faculty and management and students.
