Bangladesh business seminar in Tashkent to invoke interest among Uzbeks

The Bangladesh embassy in Tashkent has organised a business seminar to generate interest among the Uzbek businesspeople.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam who is in Uzbekistan now also attended the seminar and invited the Uzbek businesses to come to Bangladesh.

Some 60 representatives from government organisations, businessman, media personalities, journalists of Uzbekistan and Bangladesh community attended the programme and participated in the seminar.

Senior members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Uzbekistan also attended the seminar on “Prospects of Business and Economic Cooperation between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan” on Tuesday.
The seminar identified textile, jute, IT and tourism as priority areas and both side agreed to work jointly to strengthen the cooperation in these sectors.
Ambassador Mosud Mannan briefed them about the prospects of cooperation with the Bangladesh businesses.
First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islam Jasimov also spoke at the seminar. He appreciated Bangladesh’s socio-economic achievements.
