Football gets Tk 200m lifeline
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has proposed a special allocation for the development of football in Bangladesh.

In his budget speech, Kamal said the “government is playing an important role in the development of nationwide infrastructures for sports and culture to organise different types of competitions and events”.
Talented players in sports are being provided with long-term training.
In the budget for FY2019-20, he proposed to make a special allocation of Tk 200 million to Bangladesh Football Federation for the development of football.
