The government has appointed former Air Force officer Kaizer Ahmed as managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed, also an ex-officer, joins as deputy managing director (DMD), while Habib Ullah Monju takes charge as director (finance).
All three assumed their top roles via separate government notifications on Tuesday.
The government had previously cancelled the appointment of Biman Bangladesh Airlines managing director Shafiqur Rahman in February, following his arrest in a child domestic worker abuse case.
Replacing him, Humayra Sultana, an additional secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, had been serving as the acting MD and CEO.
The top post at the national carrier has seen frequent leadership changes over the past few years, including reshuffles during the tenure of the interim government.
Two months after the BNP-led government took office, Biman has received a new leadership team.
The newly appointed MD is a retired squadron leader of the Bangladesh Air Force.
After his military career, he held various positions in the private sector and is currently serving as the Facilities Engineering Assurance Team Lead at Chevron.
The new DMD originally joined Biman Bangladesh in 1993.
According to a Biman official, he took voluntary retirement from the airline in 2007 while serving as an assistant manager.
