Counter Terrorism ADC Razibul suspended in ‘public interest’

Temporarily relieved from CTRD, he is now attached to Sylhet DIG office

Sheikh Razibul Hasan, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of DMP’s Counter Terrorism Research and Development (CTRD), has been suspended from his post.

The home ministry issued a notification about the matter on Monday.

The notification said it is necessary and appropriate in the public interest to relieve Razibul from government service temporarily. Accordingly, he has been suspended from duty from Aug 25 under Section 39(1) of the Government Service Act.

During his suspension, he will be attached to the office of the Sylhet Range deputy inspector general (DIG) and will receive allowance as per regulations, it added.

It, however, did not mention the specific allegations or reasons for the suspension.
