The Syndicate took the decision at a meeting on Tuesday night.
Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique told bdnews24.com: “This teacher was responsible for preparing the tabulation sheet. He has been temporarily suspended after it was alleged that he altered the marks of some students.”

The university has formed a five-member committee, led by Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Shahid Akhtar Hossain, to investigate the accusations and asked it submit their findings soon.
Siddique said they would take a final decision on this matter after getting the probe report.
Law department Chairman Prof Borhan Uddin Khan recently told bdnews24.com that the marksheet tampering was the reason behind the delay in publishing of the results of the 38th batch’s honours final year exams.
According to DU regulations, results of a final-year exam must be announced within a month from the date of its taking place.
The 38th batch’s exams started on Jan 12 and ended on Feb 17 with viva. Their results were supposed to be published in March.
