At least eight people have been injured in the fire that broke out at a hotel in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar, according to Bangladesh High Commission in India.
Three of them are in a critical condition, doctors say.

It said, based on the latest information from Indian authorities, eight Bangladeshi nationals were injured in the incident. “The doctors said that the condition of three of these eight people is critical.”
The High Commission also gave information about the casualties of Bangladeshi citizens and citizens of other countries in the fire.
It said nine Indian citizens were killed and three were injured.
It also said two citizens of Mozambique, one Liberian, four Nigerians and one citizen of Uzbekistan were killed.
“Among the injured are two each from Nepal, Cameroon, Kenya and Kyrgyzstan, three from Liberia, one from Nigeria and three from Kazakhstan. Altogether, a total of 21 people have been killed and 28 injured in the incident.”
The statement said, “The Indian authorities are sincerely admitting the injured Bangladeshis to hospitals in Delhi and providing them with necessary medical care. The Bangladesh High Commission is continuously monitoring the physical condition of the Bangladeshis undergoing treatment.”
The High Commission said the hospital authorities have advised relatives and visitors of the injured to avoid direct contact with them in order to ensure their speedy recovery.
“All concerned are requested to strictly adhere to these urgent directives of the hospital authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured and prevention of infection in them.”
