Recommendations on implementing the initiatives taken in state reforms over a year-long discussion are set to be submitted to the government on Monday.

A member of the Consensus Commission told bdnews24.com, “On Monday, the commission members led by Vice-Chairman Ali Riaz will meet with the chief advisor and submit recommendations on the ways and methods of implementing the July National Charter.”

Ali Riaz said, “We have finalised the recommendations on the ways of implementing the Charter. We will submit them to the chief advisor in a day or two.”

The July National Charter, containing initiatives and commitments for state reform, was signed on Oct 17.

Leaders of 24 political parties, along with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus and members of the Consensus Commission, signed the political agreement.

Despite the signing of this historic document, parties remain divided over its implementation and the referendum.

The Consensus Commission has therefore taken responsibility for recommending means to implement the July Charter.

At the signing ceremony, Riaz said the July National Charter, “formed through political consensus, will be implemented swiftly.”
