At least 150 villages in 35 unions in 10 Upazilas of Cox's Bazar have been submerged amid continuous heavy rains, hilly runoff and landslides.
The district and Upazila administrations said more than 300,000 people have been stranded as of Friday afternoon.
The Chakaria, Pekua and Matamuhuri Upazilas have been the worst affected, with many areas of the Sadar, Ramu, Ukhia, Teknaf, Maheshkhali, Kutubdia and Eidgaon Upazilas also affected.

In addition to houses, countless businesses and many educational institutions have remained under water for days.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old girl died after being swept away by floodwaters in Chakaria Upazila on Friday morning.
Chakaria Upazila administrator (UNO) Shahen Deluar said that three sisters fell into the water while crossing floodwaters in a boat in Baraitali Union around 11:30am.
The body of Hasnatul Jannat Kharna was found around 1:50pm, the UNO added.

According to the Met Office, 71mm of rainfall was recorded in the district in the previous 24 hours until 3pm.
Moderate to heavy rains are likely to continue for the next two days, Assistant Meteorologist Mohammad Abdul Hannan said, adding that the flood situation may worsen and new landslides may occur.
