Education authorities have announced revised dates for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations postponed after a Bangladesh Air Force jet crashed into Diabari’s Milestone School and College, killing and injuring scores.

The Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee issued the revised schedule on Wednesday in a notice signed by its Convenor SM Kamal Uddin Haider.

The exams scheduled for Jul 22 will now be held on Aug 17 across all education boards, while the tests originally planned for Jul 24 will be conducted on Aug 19.

The revised schedule also covers exams delayed due to political violence surrounding a National Citizen Party (NCP) rally in Gopalganj, and also, the ones postponed under the Cumilla education board due to flooding.

The Jul 10 exams under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Cumilla, have been rescheduled to Aug 12.

The Dhaka board’s Jul 17 exam, on Geography Paper II, for candidates in Gopalganj district will be held on Aug 14.

On Aug 17, all boards will hold the HSC Chemistry Paper II, Islamic History and Culture Paper II, Home Management and Family Life Paper II, and Production Management and Marketing Paper II tests.

Economics Paper I and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice Paper I have been rescheduled for Aug 19 across all boards.

Cumilla’s rescheduled tests on Aug 12 will include Physics Paper I, Accounting Paper I, and Logic Paper I.

The board notice also said HSC practical tests will be conducted from Aug 21 to Aug 31.
