Sampriti Bangladesh meets Sri Lankan envoy, condemns bombing attacks

A delegation of Sampriti Bangladesh - a platform of prominent citizens promoting a peaceful and secular society - has met the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Dhaka and condemned the deadly bombing attacks in churches and hotels on Easter Sunday.

They also expressed their solidarity with the Sri Lankan people mourning the loss of their loved ones.

The organisation’s Convener Pijush Bandyopadhyay and Member Secretary Mamun Al Mahtab Swapnil visited the High Commissioner Crisanthe De Silva and signed the condolence book opened at the chancery.

They pledged to work together in tackling the common menace of terrorism faced by the peace loving people of the region.

Earlier, Sampriti Bangladesh, in a statement, condemned the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka which killed at least 359 people including a Bangladeshi child during Easter Sunday celebrations.
