UNICEF, Grameenphone discuss safer internet for children in Bangladesh
UNICEF Bangladesh and Grameenphone have held a discussion on issues related to safer internet for children.

The panellists and the audience shared their insights on how Bangladesh can achieve safer internet for every children through collaborative efforts in the discussion held in Dhaka on Monday, UNICEF said in a media release.
Among the panellists were Additional Secretary Mahmud-ul Haque, National Academy for Educational Management Director General Syed Md Golam Faruk, Sir John Wilson School Principal Sabrina Shaheed, and BRAC’s Director for Communications and Outreach Moutushi Kabir.
The discussion was part of the online safety programme for children - “Be Smart Use Heart”- launched by Grameenphone, Telenor Group and UNICEF in June.
The programme has completed its nationwide outreach to more than 400,000 students, aged between 11 to 16 years, and over 73,000 teachers, parents and guardians, according to the release.
The objective of the programme is to build a better understanding, awareness and sensitivity around the safety measure that both students and guardians can adopt to ensure positive digital learning experience.
