Health Minister Mohammed Nasim at a Commonwealth health ministers’ meeting on Sunday in Geneva said Bangladesh has sheltered Rohingyas on humanitarian grounds.

“We are providing them with all the services incluidng health. But we cannot do it year after year,” he said, urging them to put pressure on Myanmar.

Bangladesh is in talks with Myanmar to start the repatriation process of 700,000 Rohingyas. The international community, however, has stressed voluntary, safe and dignified return to their home in Rakhine State.

The health minister is visiting Geneva to attend the WHO’s annual event World Health Assembly from Monday.
