Bangladesh, Uzbekistan mull over parliamentary friendship group
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has met the Speaker of Uzbekistan, Nurdinjon Ismailov, and discussed the ways of collaboration among the MPs.

The foreign ministry said during the meeting on Tuesday at the Uzbekistan parliament building, they also discussed the formation of ‘Bangladesh-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group’.
Shahriar is currently on an official visit to the central Asian state.
He also attended business seminar on “Prospects of Business and Economic Cooperation between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan” organised by the Bangladesh embassy in Tashkent.
Senior government officials and the local businessmen attended the seminar.
