They are the Awami League’s Mohammad Mizanur Rahman from Khulna and independent MP Kamrul Asraf Khan from Narsinghdi.

The ACC in notices served on Wednesday asked Kamrul to come to its headquarters in Dhaka on Apr 11 and Mizanur on Apr 16.

The allegations against Mizanur include earning 'millions of taka' by doing drugs business.

He also allegedly misused his powers to embezzle money by securing government project contracts, using names of his family members.

ACC Deputy Director Md Manzur Morshed is investigating the allegations against the ruling MP.

Kamrul, who is also President of Bangladesh Fertiliser Association, is accused of ‘looting’ government fertilisers.

He has been asked to provide certified copies of income tax returns of himself and his family members, documents on ownership of his assets, and details of bank account of his firm M/S Poton.

ACC Deputy Assistant Secretary Md Ekramur Reza is investigating the allegations against Kamrul.

The ACC official also sent a summons to the MP on Feb 25.

The new summons came a day after the ACC called Awami League MP Bazlul Haque Haroon, who is also a director of the Premier Bank, over the allegation that he has embezzled Tk 1.34 billion from an account of the bank.
