US-Bangla releases names of 19 survivors of Nepal plane crash

The authorities have released the names of 19 survivors of the crash of a Bangladeshi plane in Nepal.

US-Bangla Airlines, which operated the flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu, provided the list of the victims who were undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Nepal after the crash on Monday.

According to the list, the survivors include: 

Emrana Kabir Hashi, Mehedi Hasan, Rizana Abdull, Sayada Kamrunnahar Swarna, Shahreen Ahmed, Md Shahin Bepari, Md Rezwanul Haque, Princy Dhami, Samira Byanjankar, Kishore Tripathi, Hari Prasad Subedi, Dayaram Tamrakar, Keshav Pandey, Ashish Ranjit, Binod Raj Paudyal, Sanam Shakya, Dinesh Humagain, and Basanta Bohara.

Among them, Bangladeshi Emrana is a lecturer at computer science and engineering department of the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology or RUET

Mehedi hails from Gazipur and Swarna is his wife.  

Nepali Basanta is an employee of a travel agency.

US-Bangla CEO Imran Asif, while providing the list to the media in Dhaka, could confirm the condition of the 19 survivors.

Nepalese media have put the number of injured at 22.

Officials confirmed that 49 people died in the crash of the plane that was carrying 71 people, including four crew members.
