Fire in Bangladesh refugee transit camp kills Rohingya woman, her three children
Four members of a Rohingya family have been killed in a fire which burnt down their tent at a transit camp in Bandarban’s Naikkhyangchharhi for newly arrived refugees from Myanmar.

Ukhia Upazila Executive Officer or UNO Md Nikaruzzaman Chowdhury confirmed the number of casualties to bdnews24.com on Friday evening.
The victims have been identified as Abdur Rahim’s wife Noor Bahar, 32, her son Amir Sharif, 8, and daughters Dil Bibi, 5, and one and a half years old ‘Arjuman’.
UNO Nikaruzzaman said the family took shelter at a tent of the camp in Ghumdhum early in the morning.
The fire originated from a candle and burnt the four. Rahim was unharmed as he was out of the tent at the time of the fire, Nikaruzzaman said.
The burnt members of the family were admitted to Red Crescent and Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF hospitals.
The four succumbed to their wounds in the hospitals in the evening, Nikaruzzaman said.
They were later buried in the locality, the UNO added.
