30 organisations get Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017

A total of 30 organisations have received Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017 of Young Bangla for their contribution to grassroots socio-economic development.

Centre for Research and Information or CRI, which acts as the secretariat of Young Bangla, a platform for young achievers, organised the award-giving ceremony at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Centre in Savar on Friday.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed the awards at the ceremony.

The organisers said they shortlisted 100 organisations from 1,300 in social development, cultural activities and sports development categories.

The winners in social development category are Swpno Dekho Samaj Kalayan Sangstha of Jessore, Barisal Youth Society, Comilla's Durbar Foundation, Kaktarhua of Sylhet, ipositive of Thakurgaon, Model Livestock Advancement Foundation of Dhaka, Jagaran Club of Satkhira, Manabkalyankami Anathaloi of Netrakona, Uttaran Bangladesh of Moulvibazar, Spark of Rangamati, Works for Humanity of Dhaka, Shishi Bikal of Naogaon, Manab Kalyan Unit of Khulna, Swadhin of Dinajpur, Prataya of Moulvibazar, Be Related to Audio Visual Education (BRAVE) of Chandpur, Amar School of Gaibandha, Ichchhapuron of Sylhet, Kallol Foundation of Natore and Patenga Protibondhi Unnayan Sangathan of Chittagong.

Jumful Theatre of Rangamati, Sylhet's theatre group Murarichand, Bogra's Choupash Natyanchal, Kathan Sangskritik Sangsad of Jhenaidah, Mukto Sangskritik Sangha of Panchagarh, Innovate Boiporha Utsab and of Sylhet, Quizards of Dhaka, Rangatungi United Women Football Academy of Thakurgaon, Wheelchair Cricket Welfare Association Bangladesh of Gazipur and Satkhira's Shyamnagar Football Academy won the award in cultural activities and sports development categories.
