Mosharraf Hossain, 26, from Pekua of Cox's Bazar, died on Saturday after sustaining injuries in the attack at Al Ardah in Jizan on Friday, according to his uncle Mohammad Rahim.

Rahim, who is also a Bangladeshi working in Saudi Arabia, told bdnews24.com on Sunday that Mosharraf came to the country six months ago.

Mosharraf was at his workplace when the Houthi rebels carried out the bomb attack around 10am on that day, Rahim said.

He was seriously wounded in the attack and taken to King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah, Rahim said and added his nephew died the following day.

The body was kept at the hospital's mortuary, Rahim said.

Yemen has been in a civil war for over two years in which President Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi's government, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, is fighting to drive the Houthis out of cities they seized in 2014 and 2015.
