Couple, student commit ‘suicide’ in Dhaka

Police have recovered bodies of a couple hanging from the ceiling of a house at Mirpur in Dhaka.
Police suspected it was a case of ‘suicide’.
Mirpur Police Staion SI Md Naosher said they recovered the bodies from a house behind Hotel Rabbani at Mirpur 10 on Sunday noon following a tip off from locals.
Identity of the victims could not be established immediately.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue.
DU student ‘commits suicide’
The body of a Dhaka University student was recovered from his home at the capital’s Rupnagar.
Quoting his parents, police claimed the mathematics student Reza Pias, 22, killed himself over failed love.
Rupnagar Police Station SI Mominur Rahman told bdnews24.com he was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room around 1am on Sunday.
Doctor on duty declared him dead after he was taken to a hospital, he said.
His father Shah Abbas Talukder is a retired soldier.
His body was sent to DMCH for medical examination.
