Gazipur, June 25 (bdnews24.com) – Gazipur police have arrested four persons including Garment Sramik Oikya Forum president Mushrefa Mishu.
Police said on Friday that they were arrested at around 4pm while conducting a rally at the Chandana intersection in Gazipur.
The other three arrested are Bahran-e-Sultan, 'Bayezid' and 'Mansur'.
They were arrested for organising a rally and procession without permission, sub inspector of Joydebpur Police Station Rafiqul Islam told bdnews24.com.
He said that they are in police custody although no cases were filed yet.
Finance secretary of the forum Shahidul Islam Sabuj said that Mishu went to the rally as part of the country-wide programme of the organisation.
The forum has been campaigning to press home a number of demands one of which is a monthly minimum wage of Tk 5000, he added.
Mishu, a former student leader, is also the general secretary of Ganatantrik Biplabi Party.
