Three more vice chancellors of public universities have been removed from their posts in what the government said was "in the public interest".

Dhaka, May 20 (bdnews24.com)—Three more vice chancellors of public universities have been removed from their posts in what the government said was "in the public interest".
Separate circulars issued by the education ministry Tuesday said the vice chancellors had been removed on presidential orders.
They are the vice chancellors Prof Mosharraf Hossain Miah of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Prof Abul Khair of Noakhali University of Science and Technology, and Prof Abdul Latif Masum of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology.
The move follows the removal of Md Altaf Hossain, the vice chancellor of Rajshahi University, on May 15.
The circular said Prof Mohammad Akhter Hossain, the dean of the veterinary faculty, would act as temporary vice chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Prof Sanjay Kumar Adhikari of the Agro Technology Discipline of Khulna University has been given temporary responsibility of the vice chancellor of Noakhali University of Science and Technology.
The dean of the agriculture faculty of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Md Harunur Rashid, will take over temporarily as vice chancellor.
