Dhaka, Feb 6 (bdnews24.com) - The joint forces detained BNP former lawmaker and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ex-president Ali Asghar Lobi from his Gulshan residence Tuesday afternoon.
His son Faisal Asghar told bdnews24.com over phone, "My father surrendered to the joint forces at about 5 pm. They came to our house and then my father went out with them."
"The force members said nothing," he replied to a query.
Sources said that Lobi, the owner of 'Hawa Bhaban', the office of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, was picked up on charges of corruption.
Lobi was elected MP in the by-election to the Khulna-2 seat, vacated by Khaleda in the 2001 election.
