The people of the southern coastal district of Patuakhali is observing the "Prince of Patuakhali Tragedy Day" Monday in memory of the death of over 200 people in the launch capsize.

Patuakhali, May 15 (BDNEWS) - The people of the southern coastal district of Patuakhali is observing the "Prince of Patuakhali Tragedy Day" Monday in memory of the death of over 200 people in the launch capsize.
On this day in 2005, the Prince of Patuakhali launch capsized in the river Buragaurango at Galachipa upazilla in Patuakhali.
Although an investigation committee was formed following the incident, the report of the committee has not yet opened to the public.
Special doa mahfil has been arranged in different mosques of the district on the occasion.
