SCBA team visits victims of bomb attacks in Netrokona

A team of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Monday visited the family members of the Netrokona bomb blast victims, including Yadav Das, and injured people.

Dhaka, Dec 19 (BDNEWS) – A team of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Monday visited the family members of the Netrokona bomb blast victims, including Yadav Das, and injured people.
The team led by SCBA president advocate Mahbubey Alam and secretary M Enayetur Rahim met the family members of Yadav Das, Khaja Haidar and Sudipta Paul Shelly and consoled them.
They also visited eight injured people who have been undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
The SCBA leaders also held a meeting with Netrokona Bar Association members with its president Safayet Ahmed in the chair.
The meeting Monday demanded the government to give Tk 5,000,000 as compensation to the family members of each of the victims who were killed in the bomb attacks in Gazipur, Jhalakathi, Chittagong and Netrokona.
They demanded better treatment for the injured of bomb attacks by taking them abroad.
SCBA secretary M Enayetur Rahim Monday night told BDNEWS that the condition of the victims' family members are very deplorable as they main bread earners of their families were killed or injured the in the blasts.
"No government representative, even Law Minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed and State Minister for Law Barrister Shahjahan Omar, did not visit the victims' family members and the injured people. They lawyers of the country have been condemning such conduct of the government," he said.
He also said the SCBA is trying to collect fund for helping the victims' family members and the injured as it, earlier, has given Tk 10,000 to each of the lawyers injured in the bomb attacks in Gazipur for their treatment cost.
