Major General Moeen U Ahmed new Army Chief

Major General Moeen U Ahmed has been appointed the Chief of Army Staff for a three-year term with effect from June 15, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence in Dhaka Monday.

Dhaka, June 6 (BDNEWS) – Major General Moeen U Ahmed has been appointed the Chief of Army Staff for a three-year term with effect from June 15, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence in Dhaka Monday.
He succeeds Lieutenant General Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury, who will proceed on retirement from June 15 on completion of his tenure of service.
According to another notification, Major General Moeen U Ahmed, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General with effect from June 15.
Like the previous Chief of Army Staff, Major General Moeen is endowed with same professionalism, strong characteristics and virtue.
