Hadis Uddin appointed new Inspector General of Police

The government has appointed Additional IGP Mohammed Hadis Uddin as Inspector General of Police of Bangladesh, an official notification said Thursday.

Dhaka, April 7 (BDNEWS) – The government has appointed Additional IGP Mohammed Hadis Uddin as Inspector General of Police of Bangladesh, an official notification said Thursday.
He replaced M. Ashraful Huda, who completed his tenure on April 7.
An officer of the police cadre service of 1973 batch Hadis Uddin was additional IGP (finance and development) at the police headquarter before being appointed as the 23rd IGP of Bangladesh.
He served Minister in the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi from 1998 to 2003 and also worked in the UN Mission in Cambodia as deputy commander in 1993.
He had extensive training on criminal investigation in UK. He travelled different countries including Cambodia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
