President Prof Iajuddin Ahmed has authorised Justice Ruhul Amin to discharge the responsibilities of the Chief Justice in absence of the Chief Justice Syed JR Mudassir Hussain.

Dhaka, Mar 12 (BDNEWS) – President Prof Iajuddin Ahmed has authorised Justice Ruhul Amin to discharge the responsibilities of the Chief Justice in absence of the Chief Justice Syed JR Mudassir Hussain.
The president authorised Justice Ruhul Amin as per his authority under article 97 of the Constitution.
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, a Justice of the appellate division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, will act as the Chief Justice in absence of Syed JR Mudassir Hussain from March 18 to 29 or until the Chief Justice resumes his office, according to an official handout.
