Jukto Front leaders -- Abdul Mannan and Mahi B Chowdhury -- held a meeting with Obaidul Quader, Awami League general secretary, at the AL’s Dhanmondi office on Tuesday.

“We look to the possibility of forging a grand alliance. But we have come here to talk about how we can proceed. Basically, we are discussing ways to resist the forces who work against Bangladesh,” said Mahi Chowdhury, joint secretary general of Bikalpadhara Bangladesh, after the meeting.

On a question whether his party will participate in the election as part of the Awami League-led alliance, he said, "It is certain that we will contest the polls, but it looks impossible to participate in the election jointly with the alliance.”

After a meeting on Sunday, Quader hinted that Jukto Front may join the grand alliance.

Jukto Front is a political platform spearheaded by Bikalpadhara Bangladesh President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury.
