Palestinian authorities said a grave site discovered at the Nasser hospital, the main medical facility in central Gaza, contained nearly 400 bodies
The call comes after Britain voted for the exit from EU, though 60 percent of Londoners are against the decision.
Evening Standard reported on Friday over 8,000 citizens of Britain’s capital city signed a petition demanding Khan that he be the president after declaring London's independence.
The UK newspaper said James O'Malley, who set up the petition, wrote: "London is an international city, and we want to remain at the heart of Europe.
"Mayor Sadiq, wouldn't you prefer to be President Sadiq? Make it happen!" he added.
The number of people backing the petition was rapidly rising, according to the Evening Standard.
