Bangladesh hit Nepal for nine to reach semifinals in AFC Under-14 Girls Championship

Bangladesh have blown Nepal away to storm into the semifinals of the AFC Under-14 Girls Regional (South and Central) Championship.

The defending champions overwhelmed Nepal 9-0 riding on hat-tricks from captain Marzia Akter and Anuching Mogini in the Group B match at Aviator Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Thursday.

Having beaten India 3-1 in their previous match, Bangladesh went through to the last four as group champions with two successive wins.

Marzia put Bangladesh ahead in the second minute of the game and went on to double the lead in the 14th minute.

Mogini then netted in the 17th, 28th and 38th minutes to complete her hat-trick and put Bangladesh beyond Nepal's reach.

Marzia netted another in the 67th minute to seal her treble.

Tahura Khatun, known as the 'Kolsindur Messi', grabbed another brace after scoring a double against India in the opener. Sajeda Khatun then found the net to complete the rout.

Bangladesh had beaten hosts Nepal in the final to be crowned champions in the last edition.
