He is currently serving a four-month suspension after biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup match in Brazil - the third biting incident of his career.

Liverpool, unwilling to deal with Suarez, agreed to a transfer with the Spanish club in a five-year-deal worth between 61 or 75 million pounds. Neither club has disclosed the exact amount.

He'll suit up alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi to form an unparalleled attacking trio after he serves his suspension, which will see him miss 18 games, officially.

The club is planning to appeal Suarez's suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which could potentially overrule Fifa's decision, CBSSports.com reports.

Until then, Barcelona isn't even allowed to publicly introduce their new star, as per Fifa's ban.

“The ban relates to all football-related activity. He cannot be in a football-related public event irrespective of the venue. He cannot even be involved in a football-related charity event,” according to Fifa's media director.
